Rocking to walking!

Oscar went from rocking in his chair this week to taking several steps in a row and just walking across the room! He made it look so easy! He now walks until he takes a fall, then crawls where he needs to go. Our little boy is growing up and toddling around!

Opening Day of Baseball

Dillon started baseball this year and this weekend was his opening game. Dillon did a great job and hit the ball all 3 at bats, and got on base once. Dillon is #3 for the Tigers. It was a beautiful day for all of us to go see the game. Oscar and Grandpa Dave came to visit him in the dugout and he introduced everyone to his little brother and wanted to hold him. Go Tigers!

Oscar's first wheels

It didn't take long! For Oscar's birthday we ordered him a 4 wheeler that is motorized (2 mph) so he officially has his first set of wheels! He thinks it's cool, but keeps trying to stand on the seat and pull an Evil Knievel! He has no fear at all and is a real climber, so we already know we are in trouble!!!

New daycare options

We were lucky enough to get a new crate for our ever growing puppy from our neighbor. Oscar thought it was great when I was setting it up, yelling "Stella!" at the top of his lungs, then crawling in the crate. It was almost as if to show Stella what to do. I would get him out, and he would crawl right back in yelling her name. I told Michael this could be a great daycare option! LOL!

More Cake?!?

After a week of celebrating his birthday, we ended with an Elmo cake with the neighbors. Oscar definately likes Grandma's cake better, but got a little bit of the cake and icing in his mouth this time. He was eating (or playing) and jabbering at us telling us all about it. Then the last picture is when Daddy came home from winning the basketball tournament and he went crazy trying to get to him... red icing and chocolate cake flying everywhere! Oscar definately had a great birthday this year and celebrated being "1" in style!

Thanks Aunt Lori and Uncle Kevin

This year we had instruments (courtesy of Aunt Lori and Uncle Kevin) to play while we sung Happy Birthday. Oscar chewed his in anticipation of the cake, but has had a blast playing with them. We didn't do a candle since in both other attempts, Oscar just tries to reach for it even though we practiced blowing the candle out. Maybe next year we will be ready for the candles too.

Oscar's birthday

Can you believe our big boy is already 1?!? Hard to imagine! We had Oscar's birthday cake together. He had a blast digging into it, but definately did not enjoy it as much as Grandma's cake she made for him. This one was more worn than eaten. He had a good time wearing it though!

Easter

The Easter Bunny came to our house on Sunday! Dillon had eggs everywhere, including one in his bed when he woke up! Oscar checked out the eggs, but after getting one to put in his mouth, he was done with the whole idea of "hunting" for the eggs! Dillon helped him out though and got the rest of the eggs for him so we could all open our baskets before going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Easter dinner and Oscar's birthday party.

Disney - bloopers!

We can't forget the silliness! Dillon was a cut-up the whole trip. Oscar was either eating, flirting with someone - old, young, it didn't matter, or sleeping! It was a great time! As Dillon said on day 3, it was his best vacation ever. Totally worth it! Thanks Mickey!!!

Disney trip - Day 5

Our last day was at Epcot. Dillon is sitting in one of his favorite cars after the ride Test Track - a Hummer. As usual, Oscar took a nap somewhere during the day at the park, and this time we got him with his "ears on"! Epcot was fun, but we didn't get to spend enough time there. Maybe next time Mickey!

Disney trip - Day 4

Animal Kingdom was a good time for all of us. Dillon is photographed here in front of "Sue" the T-Rex. He wasn't a big fan of the Dinosaur ride, but liked Everest Expedition the best. We all did the safari and had a good time. Oscar started pointing at the animals and jabbering about them as we drove by. Too funny!

Disney trip - Day 3 continued

That night we took it easy and went to Downtown Disney. The boys were up for pictures, as you can tell. We went to Rainforest Cafe, thinking that would be a real treat for them, but after several days around animated characters, it wasn't as impressive as we had hoped! They still had fun and were ready to go to the Animal Kingdom the next day.

Disney trip - Day 3

On day 3 we completed Magic Kingdom with the teacups and Dillon driving. We ALL hope he improves by Driver's Ed!!!

Disney trip - Day 2 continued

After a rest, we went to MGM and Dillon went on Rockin' Rollercoaster and the Indiana Jones rides. He had a blast! We also watch the Fantasmic show that night with lights, fireworks and all of the characters. We all thought that was great too.

Disney trip - Day 2

Back at the Magic Kingdom for another round, and as you can see, Oscar is excited to ride the tram again! He went on his first Merry-go-round and loved it! Dillon wasn't so excited going on such a slow moving ride, but made up for it with Space Mountain later. We took Oscar to "It's a Small World", much to Dillon's disappointment, and Oscar fell asleep during the ride! Dillon was tired after the big day of rides and told us he was sleeping on the monorail on the way back.
