Johnny Jump-Up or Oscar Stand-Up?

Oscar tried the Johnny Jump-Up for the first time tonight. Let's just say as fun as it was, there wasn't a lot of jumping going on! Maybe it should be renamed the "Oscar Stand-Up"! Despite the lack of jumping, he thought it was great and that he was SO BIG!!!!

Breakfast is good!

"Today I had breakfast for the first time... and it was good!
I had oatmeal. It was very tasty! I ate it all up and still had my bottle. I was up very early - at 5:45 am - and had that yummy breakfast and then played for awhile. I got tired and had to take a little nap after that, but what a good time! As you can tell, I still eat with my foot up on my highchair... thanks Granco! Mom took a picture, like usual. This is me in my jammies just after I ate. You can still see the oatmeal on my face!"

No training wheels?

Dillon is learning to ride his bike without training wheels. He was a little tentative at first, but got the hang of it. One or two more times and he will be off down the street without us!

Just Hanging Out!

Oscar was on the couch yesterday sitting next to Daddy and was in the funniest pose! The best part was the Daddy was also laying on his side on one elbow... but by the time I got the camera he had moved. I just thought it was funny that they were both in the same position watching Sunday Night Football together!

Nature vs. Nurture

The question of Nature vs. Nurture has been a debate for the ages, but I think we have this one solved. As soon as Oscar was put in his highchair to eat, he put one foot out while eating or while I cleaned up afterwards. Just like his Granco! Question solved.

Football Fan!

Oscar and Daddy we cuddling last night, but it was hard to get Oscar's attention, because NFL Football was on TV!
He finally looked away from the TV when I called him, but then...
Turned back to catch the rest of the play! I guess he really IS our kid!!!

Captian Jack Sparrow (in training)

Oscar is sporting a "Pirates of the Carribean" do-rag. He looks just like Jack Sparrow...well, except for the hair, outfit and eye liner! And the fact that he is chewing on his fingers. Other than that, a great resemblance!

Mmmm... Rice Cereal

Oscar was put on Rice Cereal in late July. As you can tell, he was not too thrilled with the taste of it. But, who can blame him?! Grandma Ellen came over and showed him how to eat it and although he was covered with it... he was much happier. Now he is a little piglet! Hopefully we will get to start other flavors soon. That should be colorful!

My new cousin!

Oscar met his newest cousin Cara yesterday. He was so excited to have a cousin his own age, he wanted to hold her and have them smile for the camera!
